Manual Mode

The manual mode on the SPS-F3 system includes a “Reference Cut” icon, which when pressed, moves the material forward and stops approximately 25 mm past the shear, executing an automatic cut to create a perfect square edge.

The “Material Selection” icon allows you to choose the current material being used. Depending on whether you have a Single-Decoiling Line or a Multiple-Decoiling Line, this selection pulls all necessary information from the material table. The operator can input all critical material information into this table.

Program Mode

Programming the SPS-F3 is incredibly simple. Just input the quantity and length of the job, select whether you are slitting or blanking, and decide if you want to continue to the next line or pause between lines. Press save, and the machine will store the program immediately. You can insert up to 20 lines, each with individual programs, making the system highly flexible and user-friendly.

Run Mode

In Run Mode, the machine automatically runs to the programmed length (+/-0.5 mm per 2000 mm), stops, and cuts the order to the exact length. The SPS-F3 system tracks the current position, part count, meters per minute, programmed quantity, and length to ensure accuracy. Speed adjustments can be made via a dial on the control.

The encoder features an aluminum encoder wheel positioned on top of the coil as it passes through the machine. A tension spring ensures constant contact with the coil, providing consistent and accurate length measurements. If you process stainless coils with a paper layer, the paper rewinder is essential for your production line. This system synchronizes the decoiler and paper rewinder to ensure the paper layer is perfectly rewound after coil processing. The result is a neatly rewound paper roll that can be reused or disposed easilie.

Pre-bending device

Forstner strongly recommends equipping the guideways with a pre-bending device for processing thicker materials, such as 1.00 mm steel (400 N/mm²) and 0.85 mm stainless steel (600 N/mm²). This device slightly bends the beginning of the coil upwards to counteract any kinks caused by the winding process, ensuring smoother material feeding.
