CIDAN’s long success story began in 1907 in the Swedish municipality of Götene, picturesquely situated between Europe’s third and sixth largest lakes – Vänern and Vättern. 115 years later, the CIDAN Machinery Group is a world-leading full-range supplier of innovative sheet metal machinery and easy-to-use control solutions for multiple industries and sheet metal trade. With the recent acquisition of THALMANN Maschinenbau AG from Switzerland, another forward-looking milestone has been set. One more reason to introduce the traditional Swedish company in more detail and to take a look behind the scenes.

THEN AND NOW
Since its foundation, CIDAN has stood for the development and manufacture of high-quality, innovative and efficient folding machines and sheet metal shears. Around 100 people are employed at the company headquarters in Götene: Where off 60 in production 12 in development and 15 in service. Today, in addition to CIDAN, the two Austrian companies FORSTNER (decoiling systems), nuIT (control solutions) and the renowned Swiss long folding machine manufacturer THALMANN, CIDAN Machinery Group has a total of 300 total global employees.

DELIVERY: Every day, numerous CIDAN machines leave the production site in Götene
and are delivered punctually and safely to customers worldwide.
COMPLETE MANUFACTURING: The innovative CIDAN sheet metal processing machines
are manufactured from A to Z on a production and assembly area of around 7.500 m2.
CRAFTSMANSHIP: The approximately 60 employees in production work on the Swedish
quality machines with passion, expertise and craftsmanship.
COMPANY BUILDING: The imposing company building is located in idyllic Götene
in Sweden, just under two hours by car from Gothenburg airport.
SHOWROOM: In the in-house showroom and test centre,
the machines are put through their paces – sometimes even late into the night.
HISTORICAL: CIDAN’s sheet metal shears have made enormous advances
in development and technological leaps over the past decades.
INNOVATIVE: The CIDAN FX Combi series offers high flexibility and features numerous
innovations, such as the rotating Up/Down bending system.
